Khalji Dynasty

Khalji Dynasty
   The dynasty founded by Jalal al-Din Firuz Khalji (1290-1296) that continued to rule the Delhi sultanate until 1220 is known as the Khaljis. The most illustrious ruler of the line was 'Ala al-Din Khalji (1296-1316). The rise of the Khaljis marked the end of Turkish slaves' rule that had continued since Iltutmish's time (1211-1236).
